Maritur
On the premises of the former swimming pool in Norddorf, the "Mauritur" is located, the museum dedicated to maritime and natural-history topics. After the close-down of the swimming-pool in autumn 2006 two permanent exhibitions were created, portraying life on "Olden Amrum". The first exhibition "Hark Olufs - Sold as a Slave and Returned as a General” deals with the topics of piracy, slavery and the fascination of the Orient. The second exhibition, "The Kojenmann – Man and Nature in the Wadden Sea", is centred around living on and with nature.
Furthermore changing exhibitions on maritime topics are organized on a regular basis, e.g. on coastal protection or on sea chests.

The Amrum Windmill
The windmill in Nebel is one of the last fully functional windmills in Northern Frisia. It was built in 1771 at one of the highest points of the island. During the first years the windmill was used to shell groats. Orginally built as a 'Erdholländer' windmill, in 1922 it was converted into 'Kellerholländer' with an extra shed to store grain. In 1963 the windmill was shut down. Thanks to pastor Pörksen a non-proft association was founded to save the windmill. It was turned into a museum of local history where you can find out about the history of the windmill, flora and fauna of the island, pre-historic and early findings as well as folkloristic objects.

Öömrang Hüs
The Öömrung Hüs is a historical Frisian house built in 1736. It has a kitchen, a living room and a room that was only used on special occasions. This room is called ‘Pesel’. Back then it was heated from the Kitchen using a special type of oven called ‘Bileggerofen’, which is attached to a wall covered with beautiful tiles and a tableau showing the ship of the commodore who owned the house. The ‘Pesel’ was also used as a sleeping room. This can be understood from the two small beds in the alcoven. The Öömrang Hüs – a cultural monument – stages different exhibitions every year.
